Well made sander
This sander is well made and doesn’t vibrate your whole arm. The dust collector is great and gets about 90% of the dust. I’ve used this sander for hours on end for woodworking, metalworking, and auto body and it’s the best sander I’ve purchased to date. Lightweight, easy one handed operation, small size for getting into tight areas, never gets hot, and my hand and arm are not fatigued after using for a long time. Very easy to square this sander to the surface your working on without creating low spots or waves.

Good sander, though the photo is misleading
Great orbital sander that replaces an older one I use now. The hook and loop base is strong for attaching sandpaper. It has a good grip and weight. Dust collection bag seems to stay put and work well, at least compared to my outgoing model.The only gripe is that, like is so often the case on Amazon, the photo isn’t accurate. No carrying bag is included. At least right now. Maybe someday it will be again. Maybe it never was. Who knows, but Amazon really is horrible at reusing product pages for similar products.

One great sander
This is my seconded Dewalt oscillating sander. The 1st one lasted over 20 years before giving up. The new sander is easier to put mu hand on while in use. The speed control. Allows me to do pick the speed I want to. Use. This is very handy when I am smoothing out finishes in wood without taking too much off. The velcro latch system is quite convenient for changing out sandpaper. The attached dust collector actually does a good job. It is not there for show. I am assuming the new model is as durable as the one I replaced. This is important since Iam a bit clumsy and have drop0ed the old one severL times without issue.Over time the velcro pad wears out. The replacement pads @re readily available at very reasonable prices. The only criticism I had on the old model was the on/off switch needed to be replaces 3 times. Although it was extremely easy to do, and not expensive at all, it was inconvenient to have to wait for it to come in the mail.I would highly recommend this sander to anyone who needs a good sander that lasts.

Light weight.
This is my first orbital sander. For years I used a quarter sheet sander and it was OK. Then purchased this orbital sander and did a lot of heavy sanding and couldn’t believe how fast it sanded. It’s light weight and very comfortable to use. Had no issues with fatigue to my hands. The dust collector worked very well and there was hardly any dust left on my work piece. I highly recommend it.

A workhorse of a sander
This is a powerful and easy to use sander that has completely changed the look of an aged deck (35+ years). The deck was stained years ago (it is covered) and I recently had it updated and enlarged and the new deck boards made the old planks really look worn in comparison. I used a liquid stripper and power washer, but much of the old stain remained. The Dewalt saved the day and the deck looks almost as new as the addition. Itâs easy to use and does a great job. I am also using it to refresh a cedar plank fence that had a dark stain that had not come off using the liquid stripper agent. Using the lower number on the sander maximized the removal of the old stain and those planks look much better. Although it doesnât really matter, I guess, but the picture of the sander shows it with a black carrying bad. The description does not mention the bag, but I fully expected that it was included with the sander. Itâs a bit deceiving as itâs not included (not with my purchase), but I still rate the drill as a 5 because it does a great job, itâs not difficult to manage and itâs fun to see the results.

This product, while being Dewalt and a good item does not work in Australia. It is 110v and not compatible with Australian homes. Do not be tempted to try and either fit your own plug or use a travel adapter, you will kill the machine.This should be made VERY clear in the sales that is is only 110v compatible should be removed from the AU website.
