Makita’s Blower: A Small Tool with Big Impact
Introduction
The new Makita blower is a small yet powerful tool that has been making waves in the world of job sites, offices, and DIY projects. With a surprisingly strong air output and a wide range of applications, it’s no wonder that this tool is being hailed as one of Makita’s best innovations of the year. In this article, we’ll dive deep into the various features and uses of this impressive blower, giving you all the information you need to decide whether it’s the right addition to your toolkit.
Impressive Air Performance
Despite its small size, the Makita blower packs a powerful punch when it comes to air output. Boasting an impressive 449 miles per hour air speed and 39 CFM, this little tool can easily replace a small air compressor on your job site or in your office. It may not move a huge volume of air, but the speed at which it does can perform tasks that would usually require more cumbersome equipment.
Variable Modes and Attachments
The blower allows users to adjust the speed of the air through various modes, making it even more versatile for different tasks. Additionally, there are several attachments available that can further customize the air output to suit specific needs, such as filling up small air mattresses or blowing air in multiple directions like a fan. With the simple and efficient design for attaching and changing the nozzles, you’ll find that this tool is incredibly user-friendly and adaptable.
Durable and Well-Designed
Made in China, this Makita blower was crafted with durability and design in mind. It is lightweight, easy to use, and well-constructed, making it a reliable tool for both professional and personal use. However, due to its prowess in blowing dust and debris, users should be prepared to clean the tool regularly to maintain its performance and prevent damage to internal parts.
Safety Features and LED Light
Beyond its powerful air output and intelligent design, the Makita blower also boasts safety features, such as a trigger lock to prevent accidental activation or to lock the blower on during continuous use. Moreover, an LED light located at the bottom of the tool helps improve visibility during use, ensuring that you can see precisely where you need to focus the air.
Wide Range of Applications
One of the most appealing aspects of this Makita blower is its versatility in various settings. On the job site, it can quickly and effectively blow dust, shavings, or metal particles off work surfaces, keeping tools and equipment clean and functional. In an office setting, it’s perfect for maintaining computers and other equipment, providing a highly adaptable alternative to a small air compressor. Additionally, DIY enthusiasts can use this tool for countless projects at home, from cleaning off tools to inflating small air mattresses quickly.
Pricing and Charging Equipment
While the Makita blower may not be the most affordable tool on the market, its quality and functionality make it worth considering for those who require its services. When it comes to charging, it’s essential to note that an XGT charger is required for this tool, rather than the LXT charger that some Makita users may already own. However, the XGT charger can be adapted to charge 18-volt LXT batteries using a 29 adapter, making it a versatile choice for those with multiple Makita tools.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the Makita blower is a small yet powerful tool that can replace a small air compressor in many settings. Its impressive air output, versatile design, and range of applications make it an excellent investment for professionals and DIY enthusiasts alike. While it may not be the most affordable option on the market, its performance and ease of use make it a valuable addition to any toolkit. So, if you’re in need of a convenient, effective solution for blowing dust and debris, the Makita blower is certainly worth considering.

How have I only just heard about these!
Wow just searched this sorta thing and this video came up, now im like Milwaukee!?
How does it compare to a can of compressed air?
Looks like something that would be wonderful for tractor filters and the silage wrapper. Wouldn’t have to take out filters and run them all the way back to the shop.
This is not the tool of the year
Will this only with a 40v or can it take an 18v?
Can you review onevan blower?
It's a clone of this makita
I work with diggers and you rarely have access to air compressor so this will be perfect for maintenance! Cleaning the engine compartment, the cab, the air filter, the storage room in the car. Been looking for this product
the bit you are not sure, it actually makes a lot of sense. Try blowing very close to a wall or a corner with a standard nozzle and you'll see 😉
Before ur video I thought this tool was a joke. But im sold now
is it possible to use this as an airsource for airless sprayer.. i hope makita will do an airless sprayer or paint sprayer, either an attachment or a separate xgt/lxt tool!!!
I hope Milwaukee oneday makes an M18 fuel version of it. That tool would be useful for cleaning your gaming pc too not just dusting off your work bench and your glue up table.
So. ..how do you clean the tool?
You should review the Hikoki/metabo hpt version if you can get your hands on it!
If you can stand a cord, the DataVac ED500 is super powerful and way cheaper, especially considering it doesn't need heavy/expensive batteries.
If you have to get inches away it is not a winner.
Looks like you need two so you can use them to clean each other.
Can it inflate a car Tyre? Someone please try it and inform us
Makita – Please don’t move your manufacturing to China‼
OMG it is so expensive!!!
Does the USA model come with the two hoses? Small clear one and larger corrugated one?
Love the tool, but I don't want to get into their 40v system. 🙁
If they made a track saw for right hand use (left blade) I'd sell every tool from every other brand I own, and go full time Makita 40v. (But a (good) left blade track saw will never exist since Festool will never make one, thus makita will have nothing to copy. And Bosch is in limbo right now, and may disappear by this time next year (in North American Tool market anyways), Milwaukee New track saw just seems like just another version of the same left handed track saw) Dewalt is falling in quality. Ughhh… whats going on in the tool industry right now???)
So yeah… I highly doubt I'll ever own one of these, since it would be $350+ with battery/charger. 😢 😭 😢
this seems convenient to blow off the leaves and twigs off my patio! i dont need a whole dedicated blower (like the milwaukee 12v or 18v since its a smaller patio.. but this works! ) + i can blow the cars dry!! super convenient + PC dusting like you said! since the air /power is adjustable
Finally MAKITA lanche really small tools👏👏
about damn time! I'll wait for dewalt to come out with one, hopefully this will push other makers to do the same and lower the price!
I highly recommend the ryobi high volume power inflator. It is on $35 and achieves pretty much the same thing.
Dewalt needs to make one
Could of done a better review by using the other tips and different air pressures
