I'm Clint DeBoer from pro tool reviews here with
another new tool tip-off you don't want to miss dewalt just released two new 12-volt max products
and they really fit well under the sub compact category their extreme 12-volt max one and
three-quarter inch brushless band saw tippy-toes the scales is that a thing at just six and a half
pounds this one-handed bandsaw should provide relatively easy overhead cutting we also love
the compact size of the 12 volt batteries they only add about seven and a half ounces to the
weight the dcs-375 has one and three-quarter inch cut capacity and that should get you through
threaded rods strut emt small angle iron and more you get a variable speed trigger so you can drop
the speed when cutting through harder materials right now you can pre-order and eventually
buy this sub-compact band saw for around 179 at acme tools the second sub-compact tool we
caught our eye was a dewalt 12-volt 9 and 16 inch brushless sds plus rotary hammer
that's the dch072 for those of you who like model numbers this rotary hammer
delivers 1.1 joules of impact energy it's about the same as the 5 8 inch milwaukee m12
2416 at 3.7 pounds this tool rocks for repetitive drilling overhead or anywhere you need to tackle
smaller holes in mass you get both rotary hammer and rotation only modes but no chipping mode
which makes sense on a smaller tool like this for depth control dewalt includes an integrated
gauge and there's an oversized belt hook and that looks like you could hang this hammer off
an occidental leather tool belt like the 12-volt bandsaw you can pre-order and buy just the dch072
tool for around 179 at acme tools or you can grab the kit for 2.99 whether you're mounting strut
or installing conduit we like the compact power delivered by this 12-volt sds plus rotary hammer
about the only conundrum is that you can also grab the similar dch-172b atomic version for just 20
bucks more and that tool runs off dewalt 20 volt batteries so it keeps you on a larger platform
while only adding a little over half a pound check back in with us every thursday and saturday as we
post new tool reviews and head-to-head comparisons of the latest and greatest products also be sure
to like and subscribe and thanks for watching
