hi everyone Brian Wavra with Acme Tools
here with another edition of what's in the box let's get started all right what
we've got is the skill saw Sidewinder and this is what they would call their
southpaw what we're seeing so far is very nice packaging it's a electric
circular saw seven and a quarter inch does come with a 24 tooth nice thing
about this one is that all the right-handed people will see is that
it's a blade left so by having the blade on the left side of the saw you're gonna
have nice sight lines and hopefully more control making it safer for you to use
let's get the blade mounted alright looking at the saw what we're gonna see
is that we've got a full magnesium shew blade storage on the back we've got our
blade depth gauge which is full metal a nice handle there
they also give us measurements so if you're cutting quarter-inch plywood half
inch plywood to buy material there's a quick reference guide there I would
suggest checking it against the material that you're cutting to make sure that
you've got their depth set properly nice rubber handle grips to hold on to
and then up front would be our bevel capacities this is a zero to 56 you go
45 degrees on a positive stop and then there was a release on the back to get
the full 56 degrees so we'll get this set up
we'll get my safety gear on and we'll make a few cuts so after making multiple cuts I did find
that this saw was very comfortable having the blade on the left hand side
personally I find it is very comforting I'm used to using a worm drive saw so if
you're looking for a lighter weight version of your worm drive saw you
definitely could look into this the motor is a dual filled motor so it's
very strong if you're a right-handed user you're going to appreciate having
this blade on the left hand side for increased sight lines the other thing
I'd like to mention too is that because the blade is on the left the blade
itself is actually painted backwards you're going to take rule of thumb is
always to put your blade on with the manufacturers name out but because the
blade is on the left-hand side of the saw you have to flip the blade over and
have the manufacturers name on the inside of this saw but other than that
this is a very nice circular saw very comfortable and we'd like to thank
Skilsaw for sending it to us I'd like to thank you for watching and
remember always do your best work
