hi everyone Brian Wavra with acme tools
here with another edition of what's in the box
let's jump right in and get started see what we've got today what we've got is
the new Bosch 18 volt reciprocating saw pretty good feel for it does a want to
get my hands on this to see how it would feel the battery is actually a little
different configuration on this unit so once we run it we'll have a good idea as
to how Bosch did does have a nice large rafter hook on it I'm sure we'll be
using that this model is coming with the 6.3 amp power Core 18V battery also
comes with a charger comes with a couple blades we've got a Bosch edge demolition
blade and the Bosch edge demolition metal cutting blade and actually this
holder is probably one of the little little things that gets me excited about
this you take all your other blades put it right inside of here you don't have
them laying all over your rocks let's get a quick demonstration set up and
we'll put this saw to the test from what we can see is this Bosch
reciprocating saw has three settings for orbital action has an off one and A two
which I'm assuming is going to be a little bit of orbiting and then more
orbiting whenever you're cutting metal you want to make sure that orbital
action is off so you do have it set to off we're going to put our blade in it a
nice sturdy blade clutch here open it up spring-loaded
set the blade in and it's locked in place a good adjustable shoe so let's
get into the piece of pipe and see how it does as you can see with the cutting
of the thin wall tubing the sock and the blade combination went very fast almost
scary fast the one thing that I had a little difficulty getting used to was on
the trigger it is a nice large switch so if you're
going to be wearing gloves you're going to have an easy way of getting your hand
in there there is a safety switch on there that
using it for the first time I found was a little difficult to get used to we're
going to make a few more cuts here I'm sure I'll be able to get the hang of the
safety switch and then we'll give you some more feedback we've got the wood
blade put into the saw and we've got this piece of tube by material and we'll
give a few demo cuts on that as well with this wood blade in the saw it's
very comfortable there was a little bit of vibration what I noticed as I was
pushing down on it it tend to vibrate a little bit more probably just because
it's a very aggressive blade the last cut I made I didn't push down at all
just let the weight of the saw go through it was very comfortable a very
little bite vibration on the back of my hand we're going to bump this up one
more notch get it into the second position for orbital action and we'll
cut into a four by four and see how it does this sock cuts very fast very smooth
does have variable speed on it it's we haven't used all in all very impressive
for a cordless reciprocating saw I've used a lot of electrics they don't cut
this fast it looks a little different don't get hung up on that this is a very
good reciprocating saw we want to thank you for watching thanks boss for sending
this to us and remember always do your best work
