Introducing the latest innovation in rolling tool chests and cabinets from Dewalt, proudly made in the USA with some global materials. Workshop Addict and Tool Company’s Brian showed us how Dewalt has always been known for introducing new cool tools, but today we’re going to focus on their brand-new tool chest and cabinet. In this review, we’ll pull out the global materials, discuss the assembly process, tear it apart, and load it up to test its functionality.

The tool chest and cabinet come in two separate boxes, and the first one we tackled was the nine-drawer rolling cabinet with model number DWS T29529. This cabinet is built into a pallet, causing some issues when picking it up, especially if one of the rivets holding the Castor’s runners in place is broken. However, we will guide you on how to easily fix that issue. We only had to install the four casters and handle, which was a breeze.

Next, we moved on to the eight-drawer tool chest with model number DWS T25182. This chest has runners and bolts that hold it in place, making it a little harder to pick up when sliding it off the pallet. However, once it’s lifted, it’s easy to bolt it in place. The toolbox boasts a positive lock system with ball bearing slides that lock and unlock with ease. With full extension drawers, we see that there is plenty of space, but the overhang on the top of each box can limit complete access to the full drawer.

The tool chest and cabinet are designed for power tools, and at 51 5/8 inches wide without the handle and 54 1/2 inches with the handle, it’s spacious enough for all your power tools. The various sizes of the drawers offer enough space for even the largest of tools.

The construction of the tool chest and cabinet is dual wall with seams style locks, while ball bearing slides are the first global materials we found, made in Taiwan. The powder coating is well done and looks fair, and there is a possibility of adjusting how the drawers are laid out. The plate holding the casters in place is easy to fix, and the tool chest and cabinet offer excellent locking mechanisms.
