Even the dewalt one doesn’t have a 41/2 size does it in terms of variable speed?
Get your self a fien grinder for $60 off Amazon and it will blow your mind I just ordered two and have used one for well over a year and is kickin ass
Another plus for the Metabo HPT models is they also have a handle position on the top of the tools. When grinding or cutting on a vertical it gives you a natural position to hold the tools.
These look great! Grinders is the one of the tools that has to be corded for me. Its pretty silly to swap batteries every 6 minutes. I do lots of metal fabrication in the garage and I want the power of a corded grinder. I have 2 dewalts and one Metabo all with different wheels…lol
I still have a bunch of corded tools I use kind of a mix as needed
cordless only for me, but I really appreciate them moving away from brushes, it was about time
Great review on both. I look to grab dewalt stuff normally evreytime but the narrow barrel grip grinders are a treat if ur cutting tile. Sometimes surface grinding or thicker tiles require that extra power. Does the dewalt have the power torque sensor deal that the metabo has.
I like Makita for grinders, so hoping they will be next
I'd like to see that torque tech or whatever it is applied to a similarly-compact right-angle drill. Or perhaps you could pick up a drill bit adapter for the metabo HPT and report back how it does as a drill?
I recently picked up an older Black & Decker Shorty for tight spaces. It's nice, but it's no Hole Hawg for power (which can't fit into small spaces.)
With brends like dewalt, malita, metabo, milwaukee i dont see point to use some harbage as hitachi/hikoki and pay almost same money like on better brands
Nice review as usual. I have a VS 13A Bosch grinder that works well, but it's bulky. The new Metabo HPT looks to have far better ergonomics and comparable power. 👍🏼
I have many quality corded tools from many brands, mostly DeWalt and Hitachi/Metabo HPT but also Makita, Milwaukee, Bosch, and older Made in USA Porter Cable and Craftsman. I've collected those tools over the years and still enjoy using them when an appropriate task arises. The Makita 15A AVT recip and the Dewalt corded worm drive are two of the finest tools that I own, love using them.

The old green makes a great grinder. I have one that is at least 8 years old used and abused still going strong
Any thoughts or reviews on German Metabo grinders? I heard those are the gold standard. Also curious about Milwaukee corded grinders. Heard those are trash.
