SEMA 2017: Showcasing New Products from GearWrench
Greetings from SEMA 2017
Hey everyone, this is Brian and Jeff with Workshop Addict, and we’re at SEMA 2017. This trip was sponsored by Ingersoll Rand. We’ve had the opportunity to check out the GearWrench booth with Bill, who showed us some new products they’ll be releasing.
New GearWrench Industrial Markers
The first product we want to showcase is GearWrench’s new line of industrial markers. These markers are perfect for people who often need to sign autographs like Jamie McMurray, a famous NASCAR driver. They can mark on just about any surface, including wood, PVC, glass, tile, concrete, and steel.
Heavy Duty Tip and Various Colors
The industrial markers have a very heavy-duty tip, allowing users to press down hard without damaging the marker. They are available in fine point black, as well as gold and silver.
Liquid Paint Markers
GearWrench also offers liquid paint markers, which work great on dark or metallic surfaces, such as engine parts. The liquid paint fills in low areas, creating a very definitive mark. These markers are perfect for oily, dusty, or wet surfaces and are available in white.
New GearWrench LED Work Lights
Next up, GearWrench is launching two new rechargeable LED work lights. The larger model has a brightness output of 500 or 250 lumens while the smaller one has 150 or 75 lumens. On high power, the larger model can work for up to three hours, and on low power, for six hours.
Additional Light Features
Both LED work lights have a 30-lumen tip light and multiple levels of power. They are both rechargeable, with pivoting heads that can turn 360 degrees. Each light has a metal hang hook and a magnetic base, allowing users to easily attach them to any metal surface. The smaller light also has a belt hook for ultimate convenience.
New Ratchets from GearWrench
GearWrench is also launching a new set of ratchets. Following the success of their 120XP ratchet, which features a 60-tooth gear and 120 positions, GearWrench has introduced three new models with extra long handles for increased leverage.
Extra Long Handle Ratchets
These extra long handle ratchets are available in quarter, three-eighth, and half-inch sizes and are perfect for those hard-to-reach places where space might be limited. They are also very refined, providing a precise ratcheting experience.
Slim Head Ratchets
Another great product from GearWrench is their new slim head ratchet. This ratchet has a very slim head and a nine-position flex head that locks in place. The reverse lever is conveniently located on the side, and the flex head lock can be operated from both sides. With a knurled ring on the top, you can easily work the ratchet manually.
This slim head ratchet can also be turned into a bit driver by popping out the socket end. These ratchets come in a 12-inch or 6-inch version, allowing users to get into tight spaces with ease.
New GearWrench Logo and Color Scheme
GearWrench is also transitioning to a new logo and color scheme. Their new “molten orange” and black color combination will be featured on Jamie McMurray’s car in 2018.
Conclusion

Well off to buy
Where can I find these tools
My only non snap on ratchet in my toolbox at work is a 120xp. Gets used regularly and is my go to 3/8.
Love that line up. The light and slim head are 👍
Would like to know the original manufacture of the lights because it looks exactly like the ones MAC Tools has. Also those slim ratchets are pretty nice
Looks like good stuff !
Those are very nice new offerings. I like them.👍
That is very lame if that's all that is new in 2017 very disappointed other products already out there that are same or similar to what they are touting as new.
What are the model #’s of the last 2 wrenches?
I love gearwrench tools.
What's coo? Taiwan I'm in.. China not so much
I loved that 120xp 4pc set. I need to rebuy when I see them go on sale on Amazon again since someone had sticky fingers and stold them. Glade to see they have some longer models coming out.
