Introducing Woodpeckers Latest One-Time Tool: The 2096 Workholding Kit
Woodpeckers is known for its high-quality woodworking products, and their latest one-time tool, the 2096 Workholding Kit, is no exception. This innovative workholding system is designed specifically for use with the Festool MFT table and conventional workbenches with 20-millimeter dog holes. However, even if you do not have an MFT table, this product is still within your grasp with a little bit of elbow grease and a shop-made table with the appropriate hole spacing.
Why Use the 2096 Workholding Kit?
The primary advantage of the 2096 Workholding Kit is its versatility and ease of use. This kit provides a quick and efficient way to secure your workpiece, allowing you to focus on your actual woodworking tasks rather than struggling with clamps and other awkward workholding methods.
In testing, the 2096 Workholding Kit was used in a variety of applications on an MFT table, including edge and face hand planing on walnut. It’s important to note, though, that the MFT table is designed to be mobile and lightweight, so heavy-duty tasks like hand planing or chiseling may be better suited for a more robust workbench.
However, the 2096 Workholding Kit provides a valuable solution for those with limited space or a need for mobility. For example, weekend warriors with small garage or basement workshops can maximize the versatility of their MFT table with this workholding kit. Likewise, contractors on-the-go can conveniently transport this kit in its Systainer case, ensuring they have a reliable workholding solution on the jobsite.
Woodpecker Quality and the Unique Wedge System
As with all Woodpecker products, the 2096 Workholding Kit is built with high-quality materials and attention to detail. This kit utilizes a unique wedge system to secure your workpiece quickly and efficiently, providing a mechanical advantage that’s easy to implement.
In our woodworking shop, the 2096 Workholding Kit has proven to be an invaluable asset for a variety of tasks, especially when it comes to production work. Its speed and ease of use make it an excellent choice for those looking to increase their efficiency and streamline their workflow.
Additionally, the 2096 Workholding Kit offers infinite workholding possibilities thanks to its compatibility with 20-millimeter dog holes. Depending on the size of your workbench or MFT table, you can customize your workholding setup to accommodate projects of any size.
Final Thoughts
The Woodpeckers 2096 Workholding Kit is a fantastic addition to any woodworking shop or jobsite, providing a versatile and efficient workholding solution that adapts to various workbenches and MFT tables. Its high-quality construction, unique wedge system, and compatibility with 20-millimeter dog holes make it a valuable investment for any woodworking professional or hobbyist.

I like woodpeckers but find their stuff expensive in a cost/benefit analysis. Maybe this one would make the cut? Thanks, #workshopaddict.
woodpeckers tool preview review before release is awesome.
thanks for the pre-release review…#workshopaddict
Good alternative method for holding workpieces. #WorkshopAddict
I was just looking at the prices of the Festool table. I thought they tools were expensive.
Just the top it, is expensive. Then the whole table. DAMN.
I'm not into wood working but that's a cool product. #workshopaddict
Looks pretty handy. I constantly have to jury rig my MFT to get a clamping configuration that works. This could save me some time. (p.s. hope your nose fix'n goes well! Isn't that today?)
Nice kit #WorkshopAddict
I'm exactly the one car garage weekend warrior you speak of and I use my mft all the time.
On of the things I did for my MFT to prevent that shaking was took an MFT clamp that slides into the side rail had a local metalworker weld it onto an iron bar with a t-stop at the other end. I brace that against the wall whenever i need the MTF to be more stable than it is by itself. Or… you could take a 2×4 drill two 20mm holes through it and drop two dowels through into the mft dog holes if you're limited to your own woodworking tools.
Is that nova drill press worth it?
I've been looking to get a new drill press and the nova is one I really want.
Looks like it'd be awesome for a true blue carpenter/ woodworker but I know I really don't have room for a dedicated bench in my two stall garage. I suppose I'm not the targeted audience/ client here though. #WorkshopAddict
Looking good, and in a systainer its just perfect. #WorkshopAddict
Awesome! Keep it up!
