Introducing Milwaukee’s New Heated Jackets and Vests

Milwaukee Tool has recently released new heated jackets and vests for this year, featuring some different heated zones compared to previous models. With enhanced heating zones and a stylish design, these jackets and vests offer added comfort and warmth in colder working conditions. In this article, we will delve into the features and benefits of the new Milwaukee heated jackets.

Heating Zones and Controls

The jacket features heating zones in the chest, back, and around the shoulders, providing warmth across the upper body. Controlling the heat is easy with two separate buttons, allowing for adjustments on the move. Milwaukee has also changed the way you turn on the heating elements and adjust heat levels, which is now quick and straightforward.

Color-coded Bar System

All new Milwaukee heated jackets now utilize a color-coded bar system that displays the jacket’s heat level. This system replaces the older red, white, and blue color indicators. Each bar represents the intensity of the heat output, and jackets may have one or two bars.

To turn the jacket on or off, long press the respective button. A single short press adjusts the heat levels. Jackets with two control buttons require both buttons to be pressed simultaneously to turn them on or off.

Pockets and Battery Access

Milwaukee has designed pockets with snaps on the new jackets. These are not deep within the coat but instead on the outside, providing easy access despite having no added warmth. The battery access compartment remains a feature, offering either forward or back routing depending on user preference.

A large back pocket provides ample storage space while a front pocket expands across the front of the jacket. This new design allows users to wear the battery at the front for added comfort while sitting down.

Materials and Construction

Different materials are used on the new Milwaukee heated jackets, catering to specific wear zones. Some parts of the jacket feature a ripstop material, preventing tears and damage while on the job site. The jacket’s hood is designed with a softer, more comfortable material, while the inside features a smoother, more slippery texture.

Fit and Comfort

When it comes to fit and comfort, the Milwaukee heated jacket is quite impressive. With a versatile cut, the jacket remains comfortable even during active movement. However, for those with longer arms or a taller stature, the sleeves may ride up when bending over or reaching across. While this might not be ideal for everyone, the overall design caters to a wide range of users.

Compatibility with Layering

Some users may want to wear a hoodie underneath the heated jacket for extra warmth. While this can still be comfortable, it’s essential to remember that experiencing the jacket’s full heating capabilities is best when worn as the outermost layer.

Wearing a thick layer over or underneath the jacket might diminish the heating effect. That said, during the spring and fall transition periods, wearing an additional, removable layer can be beneficial as the day’s temperature fluctuates.

Heat Bleed and Longevity

One downside to the Milwaukee heated jacket is the heat bleed that occurs when worn with additional layers. The jacket’s thin design might lead to some heat transferring to the outer layer instead of focusing on the wearer’s body. However, this shouldn’t deter users from enjoying the jacket’s overall performance and design.

Final Thoughts

Milwaukee’s new heated jackets are a great addition to any worker’s wardrobe, providing warmth and comfort during cold weather conditions. With new heating zones, an improved control system, and high-quality materials, these jackets are ideal for casual wear and various work settings. However, those with longer arms or a taller stature should be aware of potential sleeve length issues.

If you’re in the market for a durable, well-designed heated jacket, consider trying out Milwaukee’s latest offerings. These jackets cater to many users and satisfy a range of preferences, promising to keep you warm and comfortable throughout the colder months.

  1. I hope ryobi makes a heated jacket nor hoodie because I'm not a Milwaukee guy and I hope they make XL and XXL for us tall and big guys I'm 6'3 and weight 230 pounds

  2. I'm 6' 1" tall 175lbs slender 32" waistline.

I own XL tuffshell I love it !!
I usually have long-sleeved base With tall large carhartt rain defender heavy hoodie. It

Hoodie I'm Large size. That probably bc I just have it on over light hoodie or just light base layer under

  3. Do your selfs a favor and get a usb step up adapter, so you can use a normal power bank.

  4. I'm 6'3" and wish they had tall options. I originally ordered the XL and it fit well but it left too much space around my belly and back so I couldn't feel the heat at all. I have since returned that and ordered the Large. Now the heating elements make decent contact with my body, however, now the overall length of the jacket is pushing it in size… We will see how it goes but I just wish they had an LT or XLT options. Carhartt has those sizes but doesn't have heated gear. Oh well!

  5. Put hoodie on top of jacket it seems to help with mine I feel the heat and don't loose any

  6. So far so good with mine .. great for walking the canine and getting into a cold car etc …

  7. You are spot on with the size. I’m 5’8” and and 240lbs, and wide in the shoulders and gut and usually have to get 3x in jackets, to have movement in the arm/shoulder area. I got a 3x tough shell which is a little big, and could probably have fit a 2x but it wouldn’t be comfortable or fit a sweatshirt under it. The 3x is slightly long on me but fits good and has good movement and I could fit a hoodie under if I wanted. I have a few jackets in that same style but even without the heating, it’s warmer than my others hands down.

  8. I don't think I've ever been in the cold and went… "Sure wish my shoulders and neck were warm"

I have gone "sure wish my finger, toes, chest, and balls were warm."

  9. What about putting sorry for the shit mic quality as Im listening with headphones and it was brutal to my eardrums next time put a warning ⚠️ in the beginning of the video. I know shit happens but my ears don't need to suffer. Thanks for the vid

  10. Oh, I really do not recommend buying it, his size is very ill-fitting, and felt uncomfortable in it. I went back to Amazon for a long time and finally found the ECIFEE brand, it comes in many sizes and has a zipper on the side of the body where you can adjust the size yourself, I bought it and tried it on and it fit me especially well, now I wear it on walks and weekend camping trips, it heats up really fast and lasts a long time.

  11. 40 degrees in the morning and 50 in the afternoon? Where's this guy working, the equator? Is this jacket going to keep me warm when -5 degrees in January?

  12. The medium is too short, the large is too baggy, feel breeze by neck, I put on Hoodie under jacket, turn the jacket and can't feel the heat .

  13. “Really love”……………Really? 😂🤣

  14. The real Axis jacket got discontinued for men but not for women, this one is the Toughshell one which isn’t that hot, plus if you wear any undergarment you won’t feel the heat at all.
Called the factory several times about data in those jackets and neither Milwaukee or their reps know squat.

  15. I bought mine last week and ended up returning it. First of all it was a large and my jacket fit like an extra large. That was the fully loaded jacket with the hard material. I think that the heating system is pretty much a gimmick because most people get hot in jackets and like me I am a snowmobiler and just to have it on to do things outside before a ride or showing snow I get hot anyways. I did try on the access jackets and the arms did show way smaller than the size they are. The large fit like a kid's medium and I was like who's making these jackets and the patterns they Stitch together.

  16. Jackets fit like
Jackets, how they fit you, doesn’t matter for those not your size

  17. I could never wear one of these. I get so hot already, sometimes even in below freezing conditions.

Now if they made heated gloves that attached to this jacket like kids mittens attach to kids winter coats, I'd buy the whole thing just for the gloves.

Or how about M12 heated steel toe work boots. The battery could insert by your ankle.

Otherwise, Milwaukee heated jackets are for supervisors and lead contractors that stand around and watch and drink coffee

  18. I am my own heating element.

  19. Hello again Work Shop Addict
Thank you for another Great Video 👍 Question for you. How long do the batteries last low, medium and high. I believe you said they were M12 batteries? Again thank you 😊

  20. I got mine a week ago and disappointed in the heat output….I can't even tell its on

  21. I would like a comparison with the toughshell

  22. Good overview.

Kinda weak they didn't put heating elements in the pocket areas and adding gussets to the back at the arm/shoulder area to allow more articulation in the arms when reaching across or bending over. The hoodie and jacket combo will get annoying in a vehicle as the additional hood will cause pressure on the back of the neck–something that's common when doing the hoodie/jacket combination. Battery placement would've been better if it were placed on the chest area instead of down low where seat belts are going to ride directly over the battery.

  23. I really like wearing the heavy duty hoodies also, however, the elastic around the wrists is sooo damn long! Idk why they couldn't just have made the sleeves a little bit longer. O well! Great content as usual bud!🤜🤛

  24. Thanks for addressing the fit for tall people with long arms. Why Milwaukee won't make big and tall sizes is beyond me. I spend all day bending over and reaching above me, tall sizes are the right size for me. Carhartt gets it but they don't have heated clothing. I've even sent Milwaukee a suggestion on their website asking for big and tall sizes.

  25. Good review I was hoping to hear something about how long the battery performs😊

  26. How do you clean it? Never used heated apparel before and I think it could be perfect for hunting trips and such

  27. 😎🛠️😎🛠️😎
