Rigid has just come out with a new brushless multi-tool, which is a significant upgrade from its predecessor, the Job Max multi-tool. The similarities between the new and old tools are where the switch is located and the adjustment for oscillation speed, which ranges from 10 thousand to 20 thousand. The new model, known as Model Number R86240, comes with a tool-free blade change mechanism that allows you to change blades quickly and easily.
One of the great features of the new tool is the LED light situated in front. This light helps you see where you are cutting, making it more accurate. The front also has a rubber over-mold that provides better grip, giving you more control when cutting. The tool is also designed at an angle, making it easier to get into tight spaces.
The battery can be put on an angle, and this means that the tool can be sleeker and easier to hold even if you’re using it from the back. The tool is reasonably balanced with a 2 amp hour battery, and it also accommodates a 1.5 amp hour compact battery. Additionally, this tool is compatible with 99 percent of blades available in the market.
While the new tool does not offer the same features as the Job Max multi-tool, it is an excellent upgrade for Rigid users, and the company is sure to release more models soon. The company is also expanding its brushless line, and there are lots of changes coming.
This tool is an example of a dedicated multi-tool, designed with specific features to perform particular tasks, making it more efficient and effective. Overall, this is a significant upgrade from Job Max multi-tool, and we can’t wait to see what other brushless tools the company comes up with.
