Great deal, got my job done quickly
So, it’s a little unwieldy but it does the job well and it’s a great deal for the price. I had one room to do that was 18×13 but I wanted to be able to sand it quickly and capture the dust and this was good for that.So some tips. Try to spackle flat, minimal lumps. Makes sanding between very quick. Also, start with finer sandpaper than you think. I started with 120 and between the weight, power and speed of the sander it was too aggressive and ripped right through the paper. Start at 150 and take it easy. Also, 1 sanding disc did the whole room a few times. I bought the extra discs and I’m pretty sure I’ll never open the bag. I may return them.If you’re doing many rooms maybe extra discs makes sense. Definitely use a shop vac to collect the dust, and when you do, get the special dust collection bag liner for the shop vac or you’ll be blowing it around. And wear a mask.

Budget friendly for my diy reno walls
I have been using this drywall sander for my diy weekend renovations by tackling tough sanding jobs. I feel this was made for convenience and storage since I can fold in half making storage and transport easier. I thought assembly was simple by just insert the second handle tube, which securely connects to the hose and dust collection bag for a reduced dust cleanup process.I noticed the LED strip lighting around the rotating sanding head provides excellent visibility, so I can see where I am sanding even in dimly lit spaces. The spring-loaded head adjusts effortlessly to different surfaces, making the sanding experience smoother and more efficient. From my experience the entire sanding unit is slightly heavy but nothing unmanageable and the vibration is minimal, making extended use comfortable. I appreciate the variety of sanding discs included—ranging from grit 60 to 320 means that I am equipped for everything from rough sanding to fine finishing. The dust collection system is incredibly effective, keeping the workspace clean while reducing airborne particles. mine came with accessories like goggle and gloves with extra pieces for the motor that may burn out over time.

Does NOT collect dust as advertised!
I bought this sander after reading the reviews. I definitely regret purchasing this sander. I was removing popcorn texture from a ceiling in a 16×24 room. This machine is little more than a medieval torture device with a power cord. It took me realistically 6 total hours to sand this room. I had to do it over four days because this machine made so much dust that it was impossible to see in that room. No matter how I adjusted the speed of the sander nor the suction setting for the vacuum, the dust was unbelievable. Some dust did go into the bag and I had to dump it once.Other reviews said that it collected 95% of the dust. I’d honestly estimate it at 20% possibly lower. I hated this thing. The LED lights are definitely a positive, but if I ever let the sander head flip over while sanding, I got an absolute shower of dust dumped all over me, from head to toe. I wish I had paid someone to come do this job. I’ll probably throw this sander in the trash after this. It was a purely horrible experience. No matter how I adjusted the settings, the amount of dust was unfathomable. Wife and I covered everything in the room with plastic, but that was sheer folly, as the persistent thick cloud of dust covered EVERYTHING in the room. It took an additional 4 days of washing scrubbing dusting and vacuuming to get the dust off of every single object in that room.I also had to go buy an industrial shop vac to get all of the dust out of every single crevice in that room.If you’re looking for a week of pure misery, this is your tool!

Good device just really heavy
This device is a beast. First off it’s a really great upper body workout. It’s heavy and to hold it above your head requires muscle endurance. You have to be careful because not only does it do the job, it will go all the way to the drywall. We only did one small section and our arms were dead. It still makes a mess but not as bad. It’s not going to avoid having to tape off the room.

Powerful sander, convenient operation
I bought this sander as I prep to do some drywall repair in my bathroom. It makes quick work of a job that is very tedious and also incredibly dusty to do by hand. With its built in suction and option to attach to a shop vac, the dust is mostly contained and cuts way back on separate cleanup time. It is really straightforward to use, with hand trigger operation and a variable speed dial on the handle. I can lock the trigger so that it doesn’t have to be held down continuously while working. The telescopic handle makes reaching high heights possible, without need for a ladder. When using it, I found that the spinning head was highly maneuverable to make accessing all corners and angles possible. The head also has super bright LED lights to assist visibility. The lights can be turned on/off as needed. It comes with a lot of sanding pads, which velcro attach to the spinning head and hold securely in place during operation. Replacement pads are standard and easy to find anywhere when I need more. The tool comes with plenty for my project. Overall, a great investment for any DIYer with lots of sanding to do. It works for drywall and even flooring.

Great sander and dust control
Removed a partition and a load bearing wall.Built a 20′ glulam beam and installed it flush with my ceiling joints. Hung close to 3 sheets of drywall including some patch work. Sanding ceilings is not fun at all, but this sander made quick work of it. I’m using a 4 gallon Mastercraft shop vac attached to the sander and it does a great job of limiting dust. I recommend starting with a lower setting to get comfortable with the swivel head. Although it isn’t heavy, your arms will be on fire holding this sander tight to the ceiling so be prepared for that. 1st sanded with the seems, then against them. Filled a few imperfections and primed. Can’t tell any work was ever done. Looks original. Now on to the floors. I’m happy with the purchase.
