Works okay
To be honest it does work but not suggested with the bag alone sent with item, unless you like to clean afterwards. Attached is a Pic of my floor with that bag alone, it blows dust everywhere, later added a shop vacuum and it’s a better unit. After adding the shop vacuum the larger areas of the home were easier to do then scraping alone. I still needed to scrape the popcorn from the edges and corners as it did not get everything.Added green dot 3 plaster to the ceiling afterwards ($12) a case at home depot, to give it a smooth finish, sand then paint.Worked well on the walls too.

Effective and efficient with versatile uses.
This drywall sander with vacuum has been a fantastic tool to utilize throughout the drywall phase of construction as my husband and I continue the massive task of building our home without the assistance of professional contractors. It is well known that sanding drywall causes a lot of dust and strain on the upper body, however this sander significantly decreases both issues. The integrated suction function is quite remarkable. It significantly cuts down on cleanup time, even if it doesn’t collect every dust particle. When compared to the typical dust storm produced by ordinary sanding methods, the small amount that remains is much easier to handle. The innovative locking power button allows for prolonged use without causing hand fatigue, and the solid metal locking system of each connected pole component guarantees that the tool feels secure and reliable while in operation. The supplied shoulder strap is helpful for lengthy usage, which lowers the risk of developing shoulder and back strain, because the vacuum can get heavy after a while of use. I’ve used this tool to sand our cabinet doors in order to get them ready for painting, in addition to drywall. The sander finished the job fast and perfectly by laying the cabinet doors flat on a workbench. This tool’s efficiency and versatility make it an excellent choice for both professionals and do-it-yourselfers, whether you’re working on walls or other projects that require sanding. This has been a great tool that has increased our productivity and reduced the tedious task of cleaning up drywall dust, and both my husband and I highly recommend it.

DO NOT BUY
DO NOT BUY!!! This sander looks good but it only looks good, when I plugged it in to use it did not work at all, I read the instructions carefully and it still did not work, I had to buy another one to do my job.

Saves a ton of time (and my back)
This sander is perfect for all my wall preparation needs. The sander works well, the vacuum grabs most of the dust, and the rotary dial on the side allows for the user to increase or decrease the speed of the motor, and the power-button nicely locks in place so that I don’t have to keep holding the power button. We have sanded a few rooms and there is very minimal dust coming out of thr head of the sander. The whole thing feels sturdy and the locking mechanisms for the poles are metal (not plastic) which should increase its longevity. The only downside that I can think of is that you will need earplugs during a lengthy operation of this sander because it does get a bit loud and after an hour of sanding it can be tough on thr ears. Originally I got this for the shed-to-office build; however, I use this to prepare the walls of my house for paint. This sander helps to level out the bumps of the wall, to remove the oils and dirt, and remove most of the imperfections so that the paint adheres and looks great.I am excited to use this on the shed walls, but I have electrical work to complete first. For the time being, we are putting this sander to work on the whole house, and it is holding up to all of our torture.

The sander made quick work of the uneven mud but the dust collection was OK
I removed one star because I felt like I could never get dust collection to truly work and I was using a festool dust collector and shortened the hose. A suitable connector was included to connect the hose to the dust collector. The sander itself worked quickly to even out the walls and made them look great. It’s not super light but manageable. I have never used a power drywall sander so I don’t have any other reference so take that into consideration with my review.

Okay
Works okay, definitely need a shop vac or youâll have a big mess to deal with. I used it to clean up the drywall in my bathroom, needed to be replastered and painted. Needed to do the corners by hand.

Great, With Caveats
This is a great tool if you have a large area of drywall to sand. If you have A LOT of drywall to sand, do know that this guy gets heavy on the arms. You will definitely want to figure out the provided shoulder straps, or figure out your own way to take the weight off your arms and shoulders. As others have said, the vacuum suction is definitely lacking. I did my test on a patch of drywall on my ceiling, and I would say it caught maybe half of the dust. I imagine it would catch a bit more on the wall, but definitely have your own vacuum ready to attach. The sanding part is actually great. Very straight forward to use. It is weighty, but easy to control, and get the extent of smoothness that you want. The device seems well made, and should last for many DIY projects. The instructions were actually clear and detailed, and I referenced them a few times.

Seems to be a very sturdy product with excellent build quality. The LED head swivels and stays where you want it, making it easy to use both on ceilings and in crowded hard to reach areas. It makes it very easy to see what you are doing.I haven’t used the included dust bag, only a shop-vac, and the dust collection is very very good. The only time it kicks up any dust is when its turned off and I’m changing the sanding pads, or if I put it face down on the ground and bump leftover dust out of it. For sanding drywall, there is substantially less dust than you would typically get with a sanding sponge or a manual pole sander. It doesn’t leave dust behind on the wall, so I find fewer congealed lumps and chunks in my paint when rolling. Even though it is heavier than a conventional pole sander, I find I’m not as tired and fatigued as I would normally be after sanding with a pole sander. Plus the finish is much better. I 240-gritted some ceilings at my buddies house with this thing and they came out looking and feeling like glass. It’s kind of ridiculous. My only complaint, and this is not a problem exclusive to this tool because convential pole sanders also have this issue, is that latex paint melts and gums up the pad when its been sanded too hard or fast. So I recommend using this tool on the lowest speed to minimize this problem. I also recommend taking frequent breaks to rest and to pick off chunks of melted old paint and spackle from the sanding pad. And I also recommend wearing ear plugs or headphones if you’re going to use this thing with a shop vac for extended periods of time.Even on the lowest speed, this thing is fantastic. It’s completely streamlined my paint prep process. My clients and myself greatly appreciate not having carcinogenic dust all over everything. It’s saved a substantial amount of time on the job I bought it for. Plus it’s nowhere near as pricey as something like a Festool, or a Mirka, or a DeWalt, or a Hilti, or whatever.
