Best and fastest sanding discs for the $
Bought these when the gold brand I normally buy as a cheap rough grit paper was out of stock and theyâre some of the best sandpaper Iâve ever used. Even better how well and fast they sand for the $.Iâm comparing these to the gold brand, Diablo, and both 3M 775 and 710 cubitron discs. Theyâre hands down faster sanding and longer lasting than the gold and Diablo discs. They’re better than the 3M 710 discs for durability and cutting, but a bit worse for clearing dust. On the up side these Toolant discs have a lot more grit and last a LOT longer than 710. Not bad since these are almost half the price of the 710s.But my favorite discs at any cost are the 3M 775s. These cut as fast and clear dust just as well as those. But these may be a bit more durable than the 775s, especially at low grits because theyâre stiffer and donât snag on rough edges as much as 775s film backer. Since these are half the cost of 775s Iâm back to buy more.

Pleasantly surprised
Iâve used numerous brands of sandpaper in my 35+ years of woodworking with varying degrees of satisfaction and thought I had found the holy grail in 3M Cubitron Xtract after watching a video where it came out on top in a scientifically controlled shootout so Iâve been using that for some time now. I like the fast cutting as well as how long the Xtract lasts however 2 issues I have are it doesnât hold well even with a new pad on either of my Bosch sanders and edges shred easily/bunch up when you inadvertently hit a vertical obstruction while sanding. Neither of these are what prompted me to try this rather I needed a specific grit that was going to take a week to be delivered so I looked for something on prime that would be delivered sooner.I had seen this sandpaper advertised when it first came on Amazon and thought it was just another gimmick however when I came across it again recently I found it had garnered tons of positive reviews so I decided to give it a try and I am definitely glad I did.First the price was excellent imo. Upon applying a disc to the pad I went to pull it off and found it held very securely. I then purposely ran the edge into a vertical obstruction numerous times and found it did not shred nor bunch up as the Xtract does.As I started sanding the project I was working on I surprisingly found my sander (Bosch ROS65VC) to be a bit smoother than it already was. Material removal was fast so I figured it wouldnât last too long however I was wrong as this disc lasted much longer than the Xtract typically did.Overall I am EXTREMELY pleased with this purchase and once I run out of other grits of the Xtract I will definitely be purchasing more of this.

Best sanding disks I have used. Long lasting.
I got multiple sizes and I won’t write duplicate reviews. My experience with them is all the same. I like these disks. They last longer than any others I have used. I have caked them up on especially sticky surfaces but they resist that very, very well. The abrasives don’t come off on the materials I have used them on (no metal yet) but variety of paint, fiberglass, woods, and epoxies. I get at least 3x, may be more, use out of a disk compared to others. They have never failed to hold on to my sander. The holes line up perfectly on my sander. The grits seem very consistent and create a clean surface. I will buy again.

I purchased these after watching a YouTube creator using them. And I can confirm that they sand as normal but are able to shift the dust a lot more efficiently, as such they last. In my experience they last upto 4-5 times longer.

Complete Junk! Total rip off! The loop on these pads doesn’t hold to any sander. Pads fly off all the time, even with only a few mins of light DIY use.Pads just fall off long before the abrasive is even worn. Pads slip out whilst sanding on a flat board.Loop pad delaminated off sanding pad without any use.Compare to hardware store pads that are worn to almost smooth and still grip the sander perfectly.

ð ï¸ The discs have a standard size that fits most orbital sanders. The sanding surface is arranged in a diamond pattern intended to minimise clogging and allow dust to be drawn away from the abrading areas by the suction holes in the disk. If your sander does not have built-in suction, if you are using a rotary sanding pad, for example, then at least the dust will have some place to go. The pattern does slightly reduce the amount of abrasive on the surface, but I feel that this is more than made up for in that there is less dust coming between the abrasive and the object being sanded. The grit is well glued, and there was no loose grit on the surface, although I recommend that you brush down sanding pads before and between uses.ð§ The discs are available in a variety of grits. I have also tried 120 and 240 grits. Each disc has clear markings on the back to indicate the grit level. They are a good fit for my orbital sander, and the dust extraction holes align perfectly. The Velcro loop backing sticks firmly to my sander pad, even though the pad has seen better days. The disc did not fall off during use or lift at the edges. I worked my way through the grits that I have, sanding a rough piece of wood, starting at 120, then 240, and finally 320 grits. The result was a smooth, scratch-free surface in a very short time.𧰠The discs are good quality, and I could see no places where the abrasive was lifting at the edges of the diamonds. There was almost no residue left on the discs after use, which is a lot better than the red discs that I have. These are also good value for 50 pads at under £10, making them about 20 pence each. âï¸

I recently used most of my sanding discs sanding down the window frames and external doors on my house, so I picked up this pack from Toolant to replace them as the design looked interesting and not like most others available. In the pack you get 50 x sanding discs of 120 that have an Aluminium Oxide coated abrasive surface that is bonded to heavy duty J-Cloth backing and the rear of the discs have a flocked loop design that attaches quickly and easily to the hooked pads found on most orbital sanders. The discs are 125mm / 5 Inches in diameter and have the fairly standard 8 hole cut out design to help with dust extraction, which in turn helps to stop the paper from clogging up.Finally, the most stand out feature of this product is the diamond shaped pattern in the abrasive surface. This not only makes it look different, but is supposed to help clear away dust from the surface, making it quicker and more efficient to use than a standard pad.***** In The Box *****50 x Sanding Discs***** Conclusion *****I havenât had a need to use any of these in anger yet, but from my quick trial on a piece of pine, Iâm pretty impressed. Each one feels really strong and the surface has a more abrasive feel to it than some others I have used. When placed on the pad of my sander, they stick nice and firmly and they seem to adhere much more strongly than the ones supplied with my sander did.Other than the fact that the product seems to work very well, I really like that the back of each disc has the grit number stamped clearly in large black letters, so you can easily see itâs grade â even when dusty, which mostly hasnât been the case with replacements Iâve bought in the past.Given the overall quality and the very reasonable £9.99 asking price, I think this product is great value for money and would definitely consider Toolant products in the future.
