Perfect for sanding my deck & deck furniture
I love DeWalt tools and this little sander is great. Super easy to operate, sandpaper is held snugly by the two âarmsâ. Donât forget to perforate the sandpaper before using. The little dust catcher holds a lot and is easy to remove, didnât use the sander with a shop vac or dust collection system. Not super noisy either. Fits the palm of my hand nicely. Does not come with a tote bag which was not a deal breaker. .Very pleased with this sander.

This little palm sander actually isnât so little. Kinda like cars do these days, palm sanders seem to get bigger with each revision. Itâs fits my hand fine, but I have huge hands and I can’t help but think it might get tiring for someone with normal or small hands. The build quality is excellent. Iâve had other sanders where the unit is let down by little things like the sandpaper retention clips being pathetic, or little, important, bits of plastic snapping off making the whole unit completely useless. I donât get the feeling that this will happen with this dewalt unit. The power it excellent. Plenty to help make your project move along faster.Cons – The dust collection isnât great. It does collect dust, but honestly itâs probably less than 1/10 of what produced, even with the correct grated paper or holes punched in regular sandpaper. I work on interior finishes in construction, and dust prevention is very important these days. For a unit of this price, this should be better. Size, bigger isnât always better. Palm sanders are supposed to be able to be used for detailing and getting into areas that normal rotary or belt sander canât. Theyâre lightweight versatile, able to be used in places you couldnât get anything else, etc. While this isnât exactly heavy, itâs well over 5â tall and for want of a better analogy, it needs to go on a diet as itâs quite chunky. Having said that, just about all palm sanders are this size right now.I bought this to do a little finish on a new deck, and itâs honestly doing a great job. It took me about 15 minutes to sand and finish 45ft of 6â cedar hand rail cocktail cap using 3 different grits of paper throughout.Pay a little more for the better quality.Highly recommended!

Good Paper Clamps
Have used 4-5 pcs of paper so far. Clamps are easy to use, weight, sound, and vibration are normal for this type sander, dust collection works fairly well if paper is punched with included paper punch.

Love this tool. I used it to sand my deck, granted its not as powerful as an orbital sander by the same brand but it is really good for sanding edges. An orbital sander makes edges a bit difficult if its next to a wall, where this can go right next to it and sand.
