DeWalt’s Tough System 2.0 Dual Charger and Storage Box is the newest addition to the job site to make your job much easier. This product is a great system for anyone who has the Tough System or doesn’t have it, as it can be used in multiple areas.

The Tough System 2.0 Dual Charger and Storage Box is not just any typical storage box; it is designed to charge your batteries too. The cord wrap in the back, along with a 3 amp USBC output that is rubber covered, makes it able to be used in a slightly wet area.

This product has an IP55 rating, which means that it can withstand small objects and water spray from all directions with no negative effects. Additionally, there are some lights to tell you what’s going on inside the box if you are charging it inside.

When you open the top of the box, you will see two battery chargers, each of them being 4 amp chargers. There is also a USB-A outlet that allows you to charge while you are working, with a 2 Amp output, so you don’t need to worry about not having enough power around.

The Tough System 2.0 Dual Charger and Storage Box has storage in the bottom, where all the electricity goes directly to the top, so there is no electricity, or anything going to the bottom. The lockable system has a half box to allow you to stack other things on top, and it can be easily closed and locked with a lock through the handle, as you can do in the other products in the Tough System range.

This product has a built-in fan to keep everything cool, which means that you can charge the batteries with the door closed, and the fan will ensure that things don’t overheat. It can store upwards of 12 batteries, and you can choose the size you wish to store as it has a large storage compartment that you can use to store other tools too.

With all these benefits, the Tough System 2.0 Dual Charger and Storage Box is an excellent product for any tradesperson who wants to keep their job site organized and know that their batteries are always ready for use in the morning.

However, there are a few downsides. One of the main ones is that the product may break due to high temperatures, so you must avoid exposing it to direct sunlight. Additionally, there is a small screw in a rubber wheel that is responsible for keeping the lid open, so be cautious of not breaking it. The storage box is compact, but without batteries placed inside, it is not that heavy, but when fully loaded, it can be cumbersome.

Finally, the DeWalt Tough System 2.0 Dual Charger and Storage Box is a highly recommended product due to its usefulness and practicality. It is an innovative design that cannot be found anywhere else. With this, you can keep your batteries and tools all together, ensuring that you have the right amount of batteries charged up for the next day of work. DeWalt has just made our lives a lot easier on the job site.

  1. 20-volt? So this won't charge the 60V batteries such as the DCS781 uses?

  2. Thanks for sharing this new charging tool👍🏻 I've been waiting for DeWalt to come out with this product for a long time. Its hard to believe they didn't come out with a lid down, shutoff feature to prevent heat build up 🤔 I can see this as an alternative to a caulk warming box in the tool trailer set-up during the winter months.

  3. 14 batteries if you count the ones charging

  4. You didn't show us what's the biggest pack it'll take, will the monster 15 Amp pack fit?

  5. I'm a dewalt guy through, wanted something like this ages ago so built my own in a tstak box, it has 2 chargers and a 240v USB socket. One power lead into the case and I have a charging station for all my odds and sods ( power screwdriver, rechargeable led work light and mobile phone charger) plus 2 battery chargers

  6. Will it charge my phone (via the USB ports) from the batteries (not plugged into the mains power supply)?

  7. Only two chargers. Only 4 amps. Does not support their new large Flexvolt batteries. Overpriced and underpowered.

  8. I'd like to see a non-ToughSystem version of this that's less $$.

  9. Does the fan actually vent the box when it's closed and charging? Can't really tell from the video or the review. That would be my only hesitation on this. Otherwise great idea.

  10. YES! It's great to hear our TOUGHSYSTEM 2.0 20V Dual Port Charger is helping you dominate the job 🤘More info available here: https://www.dewalt.com/product/dwst08050/toughsystem-20-20v-dual-port-charger

  11. Can't wait to pick one of these up asap

  12. It'd be cool if they took it one step further and made it a portable battery charger.

  13. Totally agree that it's kinda curious why it's taken so long. But looking at other comments to see if anyone was going to make a comment about their own custom charging box may be the answer to the question. Im guessing most of us professionals made our own similar boxes years ago when the first storage systems came out so there might not have been a real market push for this. Good on Dewalt bringing one to market though as it looks to be a great product.

  14. Another factor to consider with lithium batteries is temp. I normally have my batteries in the shed or in the truck which means that they can be subject to high temps in the summer and freezing temps in the winter. A battery storage box that was insulated but could also provide nominal heat would be ideal. Bringing my batteries into the house every night is annoying

  15. Would have been nice if the locking bit would block the box from being unclipped somehow, otherwise a locked box can just be unclipped from your stack and stolen.

  16. I keep my batteries on my tools, what would you say about the down/up sides of that? Would it degrade the battery faster? Or does it not make much difference If the batteries are off or on

  17. Dewalt rep here in Australia saying this product isn’t coming into Australia. It’s ridiculous. Because now I have to find something else to put the batteries into. This product would be ewsome. Have a great day😊

  18. I saw images of a full width 2.0 charger. I don't know any other details about it. I would be surprised if it wasn't a 4 bay charger or at the very least faster charge rate that can accept the 15ah. There looks to be a pretty big expansion to TS 2.0 coming in the not too distant future.

  19. I’m a Dewalt guy with too many batteries. I’ve always wanted something like this, it just makes so much sense. I built my own with 2 fast chargers and the double charger. I’ll be sticking with my custom battery charging box. Nice job Dewalt I dig it!

  20. Nice, I'm gonna get one of these

  21. Option 1: DWHT08050 – Tool Only – $219
    Option 2: DWHT08050 – Fully loaded with batteries – $10,497.00 w/coupon (You Save 6%)

  22. WHY Dewalt not double fast charge????? Or even better a switch to allow me to change the speed of charge in order to manage heat if box is open or closed!!! come on get on it!!!

  23. If it had a dual fast charger instead of 4 amps, I’d already own one. LOL

  24. Actually, that was 14 batteries total, with the 2 charging.
