Milwaukee M18 Compact Heat Gun

hey guys Ken Davis here from Acme tools
and today I've got an awesome new product by Milwaukee this is their brand
new M 18 heat gun now as you can see we got it running off from a battery here
and there's a lot of cool features about this that make it different compared to
your corded heat gun first one I want to talk about is that this tool actually
heats up in seven seconds or less to its optimal operating temperature which
makes it 30% faster than your traditional corded heat gun the nice
thing about that is it allows you to use it set it down and pick it up and use it
again compared to your corded one you would have to leave running the whole
time to make sure that it maintains its optimal temperature the other nice thing
about this is it does have an LED flashlight on the front in case you
don't have your rechargeable floodlight with you two other awesome features have
no occiput on this tool for you our nice fold out hanger so this is ideal of
course or if you're up on a ladder doing any sort of connection work you're gonna
want that for yourself and then of course it's easily standable
another thing they put inside the tool is red link intelligence now this is a
temperature management system in here that helps optimize the longest possible
lifetime of the tool so of course you might be wondering what some of the
ideal applications are for a tool like this and a lot of its gonna stay similar
to what you used with your corded unit but nonetheless you're still gonna use
it for shrink-wrapping wire connections together for removing vinyl truck wrap
and stickers and tape such as price tags you're still gonna use it for buying
frozen pipes so getting into our first application that we talked about
we're actually going to shrink wrap some wire connections together I'll show
you've got some shrink wrap on some smaller wire now this is ideal for this
tool and we're going to go ahead and show this to you now as we start to heat
up here we'll start to come into that seven second range and we should start
to see some pretty noticeable difference in the shrink wrap here and we can
already see that the shrink wrap is starting to form to the wire now
something like this is going to be using that cord of tool hands down you're not
running that extension cord all over the place and like we talked about it's
gonna allow you to set the tool back down but reach that optimal running
temperature right away now one thing to mention too with the 5 amp hour battery
on this tool it is going to allow you to have 40 plus connections
off a single charge which is pretty impressive for a battery
create a tool and you can see right there we've about reached where we want
to be for shrink wrapping a wire so now that we've talked about some of the more
serious on jobsite applications let's talk about some of the more uncommon
applications let's say maybe you've left your cup of coffee sitting around for a
little too long you want to go ahead and heat it up of course you've got your m18
heat gun to take care of that for you let's maybe say that you forgot to cook
your lunch before you left home this morning but you happen to bring the
bread butter and cheese along with you of course you can go ahead and make
