Milwaukee Tool Introduces New M12 Packout System: A Floodlight and USB Charging Center

Milwaukee Tool is constantly innovating and producing new tools to make work easier and more efficient. They recently released a new M12 Packout system that is a combination of a floodlight and a USB charging center. This system offers an excellent lighting solution for working on job sites and can also charge your phone.

The M12 Packout system is IP54 rated and has a total weight of six pounds without the battery. The M12 battery is placed off to the side, making it easy to install and remove. It requires any of the M12 batteries to run.

The runtime of the floodlight will vary depending on which mode you use. The fuel gauge on the system shows how much battery life is remaining. On high mode, the floodlight produces 1400 lumens and you can get up to one hour of run time per amp hour. A four amp-hour battery is sufficient for approximately four hours of runtime. On medium mode, which produces 700 lumens, a four amp-hour battery can power up to seven hours. In low mode, producing 350 lumens, a four amp-hour battery can last for up to 12 hours with approximately three hours of runtime per amp hour.

The M12 Packout system is compact and designed to optimize storage space. It consumes half of the pack-out system and is intended to be on the topmost level for the overall design of the system. It comes with two removable trays that offer additional storage space for your phone or other tools while you work.

Internally, the system has a USB-A output, a USBC output, and a USB charging button. This means you can charge your phone, wireless headphones, and other electronic devices on-site. The system can handle charging your phone and other devices while still functioning as a floodlight. The system is IP54 rated, so it is resistant to rain and dust, ensuring protection for your electronics.

The M12 Packout system floodlight is designed for versatility in mind; it has a large range of movement and can be positioned upright, move backward, or straight up. It can easily be moved to various job locations, attics, or basements, without the full packout system.

Milwaukee’s Trueview lighting technology is applied to the system, which produces a high-quality floodlight with good clarity. It has a memory setting that remembers the last used mode after being turned on.

The M12 Packout system floodlight retails at $129 and is an incredible device for those needing good light sources and power. It is an excellent tool for contractors or DIY enthusiasts who need a versatile, compact, and powerful lighting system.

So, whether you are working on site or at home, having Milwaukee Tool’s M12 Packout system could make your work much easier, with good lighting and reliable device charging.

  1. Will this fit the m18 fuel pack out vacuum with no issues with the handle?

  2. Darn I really wish this took m18, I only have 2 small m12 batteries and a ton of m18, the m18 light is too big for my stack and I really love the organizer bins

  3. I ve found lights like that not the whole pack. for $10 They have a handle to use to stand up. I put them in a Milwaukee box. have 2 of them. HomeDepot or Lowells forgot which I bought from. LED lights are super cheap now. just FYI

  4. I confirm this is the only channel that makes reviews with the tool in hand and not like other channels that only spend their time talking

  5. When it’s going to be available please? N thank you for awesome review as usual

  6. I've got the Gen2 M18 Rover and the Makita LXT 3000 Lumen model

They're honestly hard to beat. Use them with battery or plug them in. Plenty of light. Extremely portable.

I can't see needing anything else.

  7. I like the concept but I don’t think I’ll be getting it. the top of my packout stack is really valuable space and I wish there was a way to run a light in the middle of a stack.

  8. Needs a speaker and microphone for the phone while charging 👍

  9. Slightly better than the m18 version. At least in this one you can store items in it…granted, it looks to be about the same amount of space. The trays are a nice addition. When packout space can be limited, I’d rather be able to fully utilize a 5 compartment small parts box. While it cannot store items, the M12 Rover Service and Repair light I think is a better option for lighting for most applications that don’t require lighting up large areas (you’d probably want at least 3,000 lumens at least for that) even though it’s max output is 700 lumens. You can put it almost anywhere as it has magnets and a spot to hang it on a nail or screw to get it a lot closer to what you’re working on so you may not need as many lumens. It can also recharge USB devices. I guess the point I’m making is that this is a packout accessory that no one really asked for and I just feel like it’s a bit gimmicky and that they should have been working on ways to attach bit cases and tools to the packout system.

  10. Looks cool but they failed design wise. It should have the packout compatible top. All they had to do was make the top like the vaccume with a hinges

  11. I’d be interested in seeing one , looks like a good solution !

  12. you like that milwaukee hoodie? im looking to get one

  13. That could be used as part of a vehicle survival kit.

  14. Love the lighting talk. Leave it to Milwaukee to hit one out of the park. Nice addition having a charging station.

  15. The only thing i would use this for is night fishing.

  16. This works if you are working in a crawl space. Wish we had it way sooner. It was always a pain to work under the building. I like the little tray at the top.

  17. Way too bulky and low run time for what it is. It's like they ran out of ideas.

  18. What the m18 should have been, more packout incorporated. I just got done moding my packout to carry my rocket light a few months ago, then this comes out. Will have to try one out. I wish it was able to accept packout on top.

  19. I'm undecided on this one 🤔

  20. Like others comments. There are much better lights for jobsites.
Ill pick one up as my emergency kit for my car.

  21. Is the light independent of the lid when you open the lid? Looks like you will need to close the light to access the compartment. Counter intuitive. Correct me if I'm wrong? I do like the product, It certainly will have its uses.

  22. Can you share dimensions of the storage space and the removable bin size? Thanks!

  23. I don’t think it’s gonna sell good.. the older m18 packout doesn’t sell that well. It’s better to go with a rocket light..

  24. Got to get this to add to my system. This will work great for small jobs

  25. Might have to get me one of those! Thank you for sharing!

  26. Too bulky and inconvenient for a light. You’re much better off with the m18 flood light

  27. Love the review! You got straight to the point. Definitely plan on getting the light.

  28. You are the first one to have a son YouTube Believe It or Not that I've seen. All the rest are showing just pictures and it does not sure where the battery goes or opening that cover on the right to show the battery.

  29. I wonder if it can hold that big 9ah double stacked battery??

  30. I don’t see it being a good light for a attic or crawl space, but it looks cool. But there are much better lights for the trades.

  31. Nice packout systeme i like it !!
