Is Milwaukee M12 better than M18?

three two one go it's not size that matters 
how you use it what did you do   so this video has been a long time in the making 
you'll see a multitude full of milwaukee product   in front of us ryan and myself are huge milwaukee 
fans huge fans we absolutely adore it we love it   this is our personal collection as well as what's 
under the bench and we've even got even more we   are going to be doing a verse video not product 
for product but m18 versus m12 is the biggest   question we get asked what is the difference and 
we're going to show you so what we're going to do   we're going to do m18 sds drill versus james's 
brand new unused unused m12 sds looking forward   to that one we're gonna do impact driver versus 
impact driver so we've got m12 standard m12 surge   versus m18 surge m18 standard we've got the 
cut-off saws we've got the angle grinder we   have a m12 hacksaw versus the um we're gonna put 
a progression draw against a percussion drill yes it's gonna be great we're hazel machinery

gonna be the surges m12 versus the m18   we both got it on the highest setting number 
three throw that on there number three both   got four batteries full batteries and we're 
ready to go will is going to count us in   because that's only fair because if i do it 
then i'm going to win obviously going to win   anyway because i've got the m80 come on m12 
get the screws ready no chance you can jog on what's the difference with that it's not 
size that matters that's how you use it   i keep saying that very similar in size so a 
lot of people get all the m12 is a lot smaller   but it's actually not a unit yeah my battery is 
awesome i'm not going to cheat i'm using the 5   amp battery because that's obviously the most 
common battery on the market we have some four   inch screws we're not using the big old lag bolts 
because every video does that these are screws you   use every day we've both got pisa two bits in 
the world's gonna count within three two one go   well that wasn't that much different i 
wear these all the time for screwing um let's get it out and then three two 
one out will yeah three two one go cold wasn't much in that was it on 
fire why do we need these extra six   things well you think that's a five amp 
hour battery yep that's a six that's a six   so what hours six times twelve oh [ __ ] you got 
these uh you got the easier math 90 so i've got   90 watt hours you've got six times 12 yeah 
that's what i got ready three two one go no user error unbelievable what did you do please put it in the comments you're very good at reversing it i am um 
right so that's the search let's do this   one let's do a non-surge non-surge now okay 
norm surge all right come on well three two but you could tell the noise difference 
yeah noise difference between that and that   we've got to do that now we take it out yeah we 
have to figure it out can we yeah three two one go we should get a moisture meter and make sure 
this is right this log is really really wet   as you can see it's quite dark it's been outside 
it's one of the ones we use in our chainsaw videos   which you haven't seen click up here because 
we do really cool chainsaw videos search   versus non-search non-searching m12 there's too many numbers going so what we're doing 
so we're going to do an m12 search versus uh right   non-surge m18 m18 versus surge m12 cold cold screw 
yeah do i cheat new hole new hole i'm here so i'm   i am non-surge rhino surge i've got 18 m's it's 
got 12 then so right kind of well three two one go four there we go the size is slower it's known 
to be a little bit slower but it's just the noise   you don't get that from the surge take 
it out oh yeah reverse three two one there's a noticeable difference there 
isn't that's the difference noticeable   difference so i've now got surge m18 
verse non-surge m12 three two one go oh level pagan so let's come to that very special time of

power batteries in these because only two we've   got matching down here and we can't be bothered to

got three lights on each battery we have just suck   it and see see what happens right well we have 
to count this in again mate three two one go oh really it's like a drinking game 
is it oh make a ruler three two love it okay so we're going to do this to m12 as

got to do it keep doing that let's go so there we are guys that is the end of our 
first milwaukee versus video and i think how   can we round that up right how are we going 
to round it up well i think the m12 handled   really well against the m18 i mean there's a 
little difference in it any difference in it   whatsoever it's actually really impressive i think 
the real impressive thing is when we do the impact   wrenches rather than impact drivers let me fill 
them on some really hard nuts and things or some   coach bolt in the wood and get them in and out and 
see which one's better there i think that's where   we'll put the true test against the m12 but that 
was very very impressive yes that's it like i say   big power does come in small packages 
apparently so who knew like ryan said   we've got the sds m12 versus m18 yeah we've 
got the fashion drills the custom drills   because we'd like that and there's yeah 
loads of stuff hacksaw versus housing   there's going to be loads of them so yeah make
