hey guys Ken Davis here from Acme tools
today I'm bringing to you tool torture videos and today what we're going after
is the Hitachi triple hammer now this thing's got tons of features it's nice
and light and it has one of the first three amp our compact batteries
what I love about it it has a light that you can either keep on with the trigger
or keep on constantly and it also has four settings for your power you have a
low a medium a power and a soft mode and you might have seen us use this in one
of our previous videos but today you're going to see us push it just a little
bit further to see how much abuse it can really take so the first thing we're
going to run this little guy through is we're going to run it through a high
torque impact test as you can see we've got some nine sixteenths nut set on the
threaded rod here clamped in the vise we're going to get set up on there and
see just how long it'll run for so we saw it stopped there and what we just
saw was actually thermal overload protection on the tool it's one of the
great features that Hitachi's brought on but we can see we take the battery off
give the tool nice reset it'll work again so let's go ahead and see what
round-2 does why I went ahead and stopped the tool
here we ran for five continuous minutes with the the nine sixteenths nut and
bolts on there and so far the only thing that's limiting this is the battery
capacity it does feel a little bit warm but I don't think that's going to stop
this little guy so because the top two triple hammer is
IP 56 rated and you've seen us do the water test before we want to take it to
that next step and do a dust test today so we've got some sawdust here we're
going to crammed into the best we can see what happens with the tool you watch me for speed sawdust right
into the back of this and dump a whole jar on it I don't think anything's going
to stop this little guy you just watch this cram it full of dust
but now let's simulate a drop because as we all know what happens on the job site
so what if it was clipped to your belt and it went ahead and fell off not a
problem what if you were on a ladder still not an issue what if we climb just
a little bit higher you're still not going to do anything to hurt this we're
going to go ahead and drop it from the scissor lift here at 15 feet to really
put this thing to the final test they can see that we have a couple of
cosmetic damages but I think it's purely that the battery slipped out of the tool
a little bit we still got a functioning tool to finish out your day you've seen
us run this thing through water you've seen us run a continuously cram it full
of sawdust and drop it a couple of times from 15 feet this is one tough little
tool
