Introduction

Everyone, it’s Brian with Workshop Addict! Today, I want to go over a problem I have; going into the big-box stores, walking down the tool aisle, seeing a bunch of tools, buying them, going home, and my wife hates me. But it’s just what happens in some cases; in fact, she really loves some of them, like these scissors that I bought. In this article, I want to go over some Milwaukee tools, detailing why I purchased them, what I think about them, and why I continue to keep going back and buying more of them.

The Needlenose Pliers

First, let’s talk about these needlenose pliers, which are very simple, and everybody’s probably got a pair. However, what I like about all these tools is the grip, which can vary from plasticky with no traction to really rubbery that ends up peeling off the metal. These Milwaukee pliers have a perfect balance between the two, providing great grip without any risk of the plastic coming off the metal. In addition, they are filled with other useful features, such as a cutter on the outside, a spot to ream tubes or holes, and the ability to push a fish tape with them.

Straight Jaw Pliers

These straightforward jaw pliers have a nice grip and are made from high-quality materials. The actual plier area is grippy, functional, and sturdy. What sets these apart is the spot to ream at the front, pound with the back, and adjust for various gripping distances.

Linemen Pliers

I particularly love Milwaukee’s linemen pliers. With a normal grip and cutters found in most pliers, they additionally feature a reaming area, a spot for a fish tape at the back, and a crimping area for wires, which is usually missing in most other linemen pliers. I do carry normal electrical pliers, but the lack of a crimping area in those makes me keep my linemen pliers close.

The Knives

I enjoy having a good pair of knives and usually go for well-known brands like Benchmade. However, for work in the field, I need something light and rust-resistant. The Milwaukee knives meet these criteria and maintain their sharpness. The one I’ve been using for two months has a spring-loaded opening, serrated edge, and a comfortable grip.

They also offer a knife that uses a normal razor blade. While these varieties of knives tend to be thin and long, Milwaukee’s version is a bit thicker and more comfortable to hold for cutting boxes or other materials. It does require caution while using, but it’s a reliable and sturdy option for various cutting needs.

Voltage Regulator and M18 Battery Charger

Milwaukee’s voltage regulator has been a lifesaver for me. My kids use it to charge their iPods and iPhones as it has a spot to turn it on and off and charge one USB device. It’s compatible with any M18 battery and is a go-to for my family.

Milwaukee Scissors

I must warn you not to show your spouse these scissors. Milwaukee offers angled and straight sets, and they are sharp, durable, and comfortable to use. My wife has even claimed the straight set for the kitchen, and they’ve become a staple in our household.

Conclusion

Next time you’re walking through a big-box store or browsing Amazon, don’t hesitate to check out Milwaukee tools. They are well-built, high-quality, and reasonably-priced. I’m confident that you’ll love the durability, functionality, and satisfaction that comes with owning and using them. This has been Brian with Workshop Addict; thank you for taking the time to read this article. 1. Their grips are absolutely trash. I like their dip grips

  2. I shouldve followed your advice in this video. I bought the pick set and now my boyfriend took it and has not let me use it even once yet.

  3. Can anyone tell me how to warranty these tools????

  4. I really like Milwaukee hand tools but those scissors are horrible

  5. india avilable us not how get

  6. Great vid. I agree with everything except one thing about the Scissors. The Scissors are definitely very sharp, super durable. However, they are not very comfortable. I buy everything Milwaukee except for scissors now. Go with the higher end Wiss for Scissors. VERY comfortable, just as sharp. Comfortability makes a huge difference when cutting through harder materials such as thick plastic. The metal is exposed on the inside of the Milwaukee handle unlike the wiss. The Milwaukee grip is a bit tighter also than the wiss.

  7. Milwaukee is the snapon of the electrical world! In my opinion, im a electrician i own and use these tools everyday hard! Very good tools

  8. You called that non-contact voltage detector a voltage regulator those are two totally different things not even related

  9. Wife hates me….🤣🤣🤣

  10. "I see a bunch of tools, I buy them, I go home, my wife hates me". That was beautiful man. You made me laugh today. Every guy who's a tool addict will relate and empathize with you. No matter where you are in the world. That feeling of driving home, thrilled with the new tool purchase and the feeling of dread about the conversation with the wife as you walk in the door and she says, "so, what have you got there in the bag?". Lol. Poor us. Poor wives..

  11. I wish they had good ol' slip joint pliers. I've been thinking getting some new hand tools. I'd prefer they all match. OCD.

  12. Now you need the Milwaukee work bench instead of the husky

  13. I love Milwaukee hand tools they are high quality and innovative. Some I noticed you do not have some that I do like the 6" folding jab saw which is really cool it will accept any standard Recip saw blade so with different blades you can cut about anything and the blade folds up into the handle and locks in, also I have a set of their crimping pliers (wiring pliers) which are the best ones I have ever had and it may seem petty but their Inkzall markers are the best so much better that sharpie markers. Also I don't have any yet but I would love to get a set of their torque lock pliers and C-Clamps man what I would have given to have those back when I used to work as a fabricator lol I also have one of their magnetic tapes which is nice! One other thing is I have always been a fan of Empire True Blue levels but the new Milwaukee levels are pretty sweet but they are expensive, actually TTI (Milwaukee's parent company) recently bought out Empire so I do not know why they see the need to make both brands of levels but the good news is I heard they will still be making Empire products in the USA and even be making the Milwaukee levels in the USA as well so that is cool. One last thing I would like to try is their new chalk lines they seem pretty cool but just like most chalk lines they are 100 feet and I never need that kind of length, I have a compact DeWalt chalk line that is nice and small and is 30 feet which more that suits my needs so I will probably stick with it. Kudos to Milwaukee for making such quality innovative hand tools these days now though. After seeing the fast back flip utility knife you showed I went and looked at it on Home Depot and saw all the cool extra features it has over a standard utility knifes and I will be getting me one of those real soon, I think I will also have to pick myself up a pair of those jobsite scissors as well I can think of so many places those would come in handy! Well again thank you for the great review, keep up the good work!

  14. Bryan I've always been very curious if that's a Camaro you have back there? I've noticed it in other videos.. So what you hiding? ZL1? 🙂 lol

  15. As many of my older hand and power tools have worn out, Milwaukee has replaced them. I find myself looking for new hand tools.

  16. nice display of the newest milwaukee hand tool line.

  17. Be on the look out for their
    Chalk line
    Line of crescent wrenches
Pipe cutters a small and big
Gen 2 6-1 needle nose pliers
Fastback 3 that holds 5 blades
    Bassen wrench
    And some other cool stuff

  18. Man now I'm tempted to go to HD and some of these up great review

  19. The 11-1 is a great driver because the bits are amazing too in an impact driver. They will not ever rust and bail you out if you do not have a bit set with you. Well done Milwaukee. Unfortunately now to satiate my addiction I will have to meet a shady tool dealer in s back alley.

  20. I have a total addiction to those Milwaukee hand tools as well and I have them all in my Milwaukee jobsite backpack that I justified by presenting evidence to my wife I needed even though clearly I was spinning more BS than a politician after she saw the credit card bill. The screwdrivers are awesome as well. I am a DeWalt 20v power tool guy but a Milwaukee hand tool guy all the way!

  21. I think Milwaukee makes some nice hand tools no doubt about it.  If I can though I prefer to try and buy made in usa hand tools. Klein is a good example. A lot of channelocks line is made in the usa also. I know there are a few others but they are becoming less so which is unfortunate. I wish Milwaukee would start doing some manufacturing here like DeWalt is trying to do.

  22. Brian I'm gonna come out and say it with YA I also have a problem!!! Lol! I pass through the tool section everytime I'm at HD and check these guys but I haven't purchased any and I don't really know why… Thanks for reviewing for us.

  23. Thanks for the video, I really like the wire stripper, it does so much more that I had to rebuy after misplacing one.

  24. Brian I applaud your preparedness.  Your wife needs to understand that you are only getting ready in case of an tool emergency. Tell her you hope it never comes to an emergency situation but you care to much about your family to not be prepared.  You are doing this for them.

  25. I never knew Milwaukee had a line of hand tools.
