Excellent sander
I recently purchased this model after my previous sander gave out after 20+ years. I purchased this model since I already had sand papers that would fit it. Basically same type of sander. My issue with this new model is that the dust collection unit will not stay attached to sander once you start sanding. It would appear that the grooves on the sander unit will accept the collection unit, but with twisting it to lock the unit, just doesn’t lock well. As a result, the dust collection unit loosens or falls off once you start sanding and resulting vibration. The grooves also collect the dust and thinking this is why the unit won’t attach securely so I would clean the grooves with wet cloth, but to no avail. I finally just attached the collection unit with duct tape, and this actually kept the unit on and secure. Other than this issue, the sander works “okay” and gets the job done.Update to the previous review:I was contacted by the company Milky Way Galaxy, the next day after this review appeared, regarding my issue with the dust collection unit. They apologized for my frustration, and offered to send me a replacement sander. After back and forth communications further detailing my issues, I accepted and received a new sander. “OMG” what a difference. The dust collection unit attaches securely and tightly. With extensive sanding, the dust collection unit stays tight, attached, and collects dust. The sander provides ample power, easy handling and basically does an impressive job with sanding. This sander is a true value as well, with receiving additional sanding papers and an adaptive connector for attaching shop vac hose. Additionally, the customer service extended to me (regarding this issue) was outstanding. Initially, they offered me a replacement sander, as an apology for my frustration, no questions asked. With “back and forth” communications, they acknowledged my issues and concerns, and provided prompt responses and follow-up. In these days and times, when a company(customer service) actually responds to a customer’s issues, by providing assistance, and ultimately, without hesitation a new replacement product, it not only does “the right thing”, but exemplifies good/great customer service and company ethics, which sadly is lacking in our society. I would most definitely recommend this sander brand and company.

Packaged very well. Used this detail sander to refinish my backporch steps. Worked terrific with the enclosed sanding pad had a total of 10 steps to refinish. Minimal dust and the enclosed attachment to catch the sanding dust worked great! Would recommend this detail sander for small projects.
