Worked great for sanding curves and crevices in kitchen decorated door. These blocks will be very useful as we are always redoing or building something.

Good stuff, BUT too long and the paper is an odd size.
These work really well except for:1. The sanding paper needs to be ‘softened’ by rolling in your hands before it it will conform tightly to any of the curved surfaces. It’ll work ok w/out doing that, but you might be sanding surfaces you don’t want to, as on chair rungs. Roll it around a pencil or punch to ‘break’ it in some before attaching and it works better from the start.2. The paper size is odd, and the handles are a bit too long for close or small area work (as w/ angled stool rungs, for example). See images: Standard 1/4 sheet paper is too small in both dimensions, and cut in half, it doesn’t fit properly. And the stuff they sell for these is not useful for much else (and they cost more).SO: I bought 1/4 sheet pads, cut them in half, then hacksawed about 1/4 inch off the holders (as shown). This solved the problem and gave me a lot more paper for less price–and I can get into smaller curved spaces w/ the pads. I also found a use for one of the cut-off end-pieces with a small piece of paper, in a really small space that needed sanding. Win-win with minimal reengineering…

Wish I had this years ago!
Where were these things all my life? I have done so many projects in the past that would have benefited from the use of these sanding partners. I am currently refinishing my stair handrails and posts, which have many curves and small areas suited for the different shapes in this kit. It has cut my sanding time and efforts at least in half. In addition, I recently had new baseboard installed in two bedrooms and these curved pieces are perfect for lightly sanding the nail hole filler before painting. I’m also painting several doors and the sanding blocks have been invaluable for preparing the doors and trim for painting. I have several other Duro-Gold hook and loop tools and loads of their sandpaper. Great products!

Surprisingly Awesome
I don’t normally go for kits like this since most things can be accomplished with just folded paper, so this sort of kit seems a bit gimmicky and wasteful. BUT I have a large quantity of relatively (for me) ornate door and window frames that need sanding by hand. The convenience and completeness of this kit has been a boon on my home reno project. The handle and secure hold to the various shapes and papers makes things much more comfortable and less frustrating that attempting all of this without the kit. Would recommend for anyone enduring a significant amount of by-hand sanding.

I am refinishing a piece of furniture for my very first time. I was struggling with the detailed areas on the furniture and it was taking me forever. I was thrilled to find these and decided to give them a try. So thankful that I did!!. These shaped sanders were so handy for detailing! I was struggling with curves and narrow grooves. These were a life saver! They come with perfectly sized sand paper that easily sticks (similar to velcro) to the formed hand pieces. It expedited my project!
