Does the job
Solid built, good value., purchased for bathroom remodel, works great. A lot less dust than electric palm sander..
Lynette –
Just the right size
Fits in your hand with comfort.

Not worth it
This item did not perform as expected. I had to trim both sides of the plastic handle in order for the wing nuts to tighten. Then I had to tighten both wing nuts with plyers because the retainer would not hold the sandpaper tightly in place. I threw it away and bought another brand at Home Depot that works.

Okay but not heavy duty to me
Sorry, but I don’t know why this is called “heavy duty.” it’s not as sturdy as my old Warner unit. The screws are smaller (as are the wing nuts) making it difficult for my old hands to tighten. Certainly better than the plastic ones sold in stores these days, but just barely.

Design is short on needed/functional qualities.
Warner 229 – Bed was too short for the âjohnson wet-kutâ paper – ends of paper butted up to handle ⦠not allowing paper to lay flat/tight to bed (of hand sander). âWingsâ on nuts collided with handles when loosening – need a washer between nut and âgrab barâ to allow clearance and allow smooth tightening (very rough). Wings are (too) small (in my opinion) ⦠and rough on the fingers when tightening/loosening. Returned item – will look for better quality.

Work’s good
Good to go.

The only concern is the butterfly tie down hits the plastic handle
