Good product
Everything I needed and more. Too bad the price dropped $30 since my purchase on 4-17-25. And could not use the 20% coupon on accessories.Note revopoint credited the $30 price drop after contacting them via Amazon .

Battery life is not what they say…
Please read current update: So far, we have been able to capture most of what we purchased this unit for. It struggles with dark, or shiny objects quite a bit, and it scans slower than we expected, but it seems to work “OK”. The big issue is with the lights on it. When you are scanning in tighter areas where you need some light. I wouldn’t recommend using the onboard lights. They drain the battery at an extraordinary rate. We were at 100% charge, and started scanning with the lights on, and we used 50% of the battery life in 30 minutes of scanning. That’s a far cry from the up to 2.5 hours of scan time that it claims. Seems to me they should have opted for a little bit more weight, to get some better battery life out of this thing. Update: Revopoint is currently working with me on the battery life issue. I will updated this review as things progress. As for now the service fromthem has been stellar.

I’m still learning about cad, 3d printing, scanning and associated technical jargon, but this device is amazing. I was able to accurately scan a variety of objects with minimal instruction. After reading more about the scanning process on the internet, I’ve been able to get better scans with fewer mistakes. Also, I love that you can delete mistakes and start from the last good scan. The process is so forgiving. A machine that does a better job than this thing is an exorbitant cost, at marginal improvement. This is going to do everything I need it to with automotive applications, and more. Portability is the biggest convenience with this thing!

It would be 5 Stars, but the price is steep. Other than that it has worked easily and great imaging. Battery doesnât last long and you canât upgrade the storage, but so far I havenât ran out of storage or battery doing a scan.

My first 3D scanner
This is the first 3D scanner Iâve used. I bought this over the others because of specs looks like they were on par or better than the competitors but way more affordable. So I canât say that this scanner is actually better compared to the competition but I canât say that it is very easy to use as long as the surface isnât reflective and that I now want to try scanning everything.

This 3D scanner with photogrammetry is not really a fast and easy to use tool that allows you to capture 3D scans in seconds. With small objects, the operation of the scanner is easy but tricky, with larger objects it takes forever to set up the reference points and even then the scan puts point clouds everywhere. I tried for three days all the options and methods and I got nothing good out of it. (My scanned objects were metallic and dark)

Ich habe viele Scanner getestet von 800-2000⬠auch den revopoint Metro x. Ich muss sagen sorry aber der Miraco plus schlägt echt alles.Die Bedienung ist super simpel. Er verliert fast nie sein Tracking auch ohne Marker Punkte. Man kann kleine Teile bis hin zu ganzen Körpern von Menschen und Tiere problemlos scannen. Zumindest als Geometrie. Wenn man es in Farbe haben will braucht man etwas Ruhe und Ãbung aber es geht auch super. Bin aus dem Profi Bereich habe auf Arbeit Geräte um sie 20.000⬠und mehr und hatte was für zu Hause gesucht. Da gibt es aus meiner Sicht nichts besseres. Auch stationär am Pc mit Stativ macht er top Aufnahmen und das hat schon was zu heiÃen besonders auch bei blöden Licht. Wie alle Scanner hat er mit schwarz oder starken Reflexen probleme aber etwas Scan Spray und alles ist super.Kann ich nur empfehlen und nicht gleich aufgeben und sagen der kann nichts. Man muss die Einstellungen anpassen für das was man braucht. Dann ist er spitze.
