What Sets This Multi-Tool Apart From the Competition

During our testing, the GALAX PRO oscillating tool immediately impressed us with its robust 1.5A motor delivering 22,000 oscillations per minute. That might sound like just another spec on paper, but in real-world use, it translates to noticeably faster cuts through hardwood, drywall, and even stubborn grout lines. The 3-degree oscillating angle provides the perfect balance between cutting speed and control – not so wide that it becomes unwieldy, but aggressive enough to tackle tough jobs efficiently.

What really caught our attention was how smoothly it handled transitions between different materials. We tested it on everything from precision cuts in laminate flooring to sanding tight corners on our cabinet restoration project, and the tool never hesitated or bogged down.

Everything You Need Right Out of the Box

One of our favorite aspects of this GALAX PRO multi-tool is that it comes genuinely ready to work. The included accessory kit comprises:

– 3 precision saw blades for various cutting applications
– 1 semi-circular blade perfect for flush cuts
– 1 sanding plate that locks securely in place
– 6 sanding papers in different grits

During our review period, we didn’t need to purchase a single additional accessory. The variety of blades handled every task we threw at them, from cutting doorjambs for new flooring installation to removing old caulk around our bathroom fixtures.

Performance Testing: Where the GALAX PRO Truly Shines

Cutting Power and Precision

We put the GALAX PRO through a demanding test: undercutting oak door casings to slide new laminate flooring underneath. This is typically where budget multi-tools struggle or overheat. The GALAX PRO handled it beautifully, maintaining consistent power throughout the cut. The 22,000 OPM rating isn’t just marketing – you can feel the difference in how quickly and cleanly it slices through dense materials.

The blade attachment system deserves special mention. We’ve used multi-tools where changing blades required tools, patience, and occasionally some choice words. The GALAX PRO’s tool-free blade change system worked flawlessly every single time. Even when blades got hot after extended use, we could swap them out in seconds.

Sanding Capabilities

Honestly, we approached the sanding function with modest expectations – oscillating tools often excel at cutting but underwhelm when sanding. The GALAX PRO proved us wrong. The semi-circular sanding plate attached firmly without any wobble, and the 22,000 OPM translated to impressively efficient material removal.

We used it to sand down some stubborn paint drips on window frames, smooth out wood filler on cabinet repairs, and refinish tight corners where our orbital sander couldn’t reach. The included variety of grit papers meant we could start with aggressive material removal and finish with fine smoothing, all with the same tool.

Ergonomics and Real-World Comfort

After using the GALAX PRO for extended periods – including one marathon three-hour session refinishing our kitchen cabinets – we can speak to its comfort level. The grip design isn’t revolutionary, but it’s thoughtfully executed. The rubberized handle areas provide secure purchase even when our hands got sweaty, and the tool’s weight distribution feels balanced.

At extended runtime, we did notice some vibration transfer to our hands, which is honestly typical for oscillating tools in this price range. We’d recommend taking regular breaks during long projects, but the vibration never became uncomfortable enough to stop work.

The compact profile proved invaluable when working in cramped spaces. We maneuvered it easily between wall studs, into cabinet interiors, and around plumbing fixtures where larger tools simply wouldn’t fit.

Discover Why DIYers and Professionals Choose This Tool

Versatility That Actually Matters

“Versatile” gets thrown around a lot in tool marketing, but the GALAX PRO earned that description through our testing. Here are the specific applications where it excelled:

**Cutting Applications:**
– Flush-cutting nails and screws
– Trimming doorjambs and casings
– Cutting drywall for outlet boxes
– Removing grout lines
– Precision cuts in laminate and vinyl flooring
– Trimming composite decking

**Sanding Applications:**
– Detail sanding in tight corners
– Removing paint and finish from moldings
– Smoothing wood filler and putty
– Refinishing small areas

**Scraping Applications:**
– Removing old adhesive
– Stripping caulk and sealant
– Taking up vinyl flooring
– Cleaning paint from windows

We genuinely used it for all these applications, and it handled each one competently.

Customer Reviews Analysis: What Other Users Discovered

We don’t base our reviews solely on our own experience – we dug deep into customer feedback for the GALAX PRO Oscillating Multi Tool 22000 OPM with Blades & Sanding Kit to see if our findings aligned with the broader user base.

The consensus strongly validates our positive experience. Users consistently praise the tool’s power-to-price ratio, with many noting it performs comparably to multi-tools costing twice as much. Several contractors mentioned using it professionally for months without issues, which speaks to its durability beyond casual DIY use.

The included accessory kit received particular appreciation. Multiple reviewers mentioned they expected to buy additional blades immediately but found the included set handled their projects completely. One user detailed using only the provided accessories to renovate an entire bathroom – cutting tiles, removing old caulk, and sanding corner details.

Some users noted the same vibration we experienced during extended use, though most didn’t find it problematic. A few reviewers mentioned wishing for a variable speed control, which would indeed be a nice addition, though the single speed proved appropriate for the vast majority of applications we tested.

The tool’s longevity impressed long-term users. Several reviews from 6+ months after purchase reported continued reliable performance with no degradation in power or mechanical issues. That’s reassuring for anyone concerned about durability.

Should have had one years ago
I had a hand built desk I wanted to install and needed to cut some baseboard along one wall so I was googling to find out the best way to do that without taking the entire baseboard off and cutting it which led me to the vibratory tool. I watched a few videos on you tube and decided to give it a try so I started looking at those available. Some were well over $100.00 which I couldn’t see the value in. I eventually settled on trying the Galaxy Pro 22000. Some of the reviews had shown issues with the quality of the on/off switch but I knew that if it was a problem I was more than capable of wiring in my own toggle switch if it came to that so I ordered the tool. It arrived nicely packaged in an outer box with all of the attachments and Allen wrench inside. After a quick skim through the manual I attached the flat cutter and turned it on. At that moment I was skeptical this could cut a straight line so I decided to cut into the base board several inches further down stream into the piece of baseboard I was removing in the event it did a poor job I could still find another option. Fast forward no other option needed. It cut through my baseboard like butter and a perfect straight cut. I then decided to try it on a drywall cut out so I could run cabling behind the wall and again it worked like a charm I was able to cut a 4″ x 5′ section of drywall in around a minute with a perfect straight cut and minimal dust created. previously I would have used a box cutter which results in very uneven cuts or a jigsaw which creates a mess. This thing is amazing. You won’t regret this purchase and by the way the switch is as good as any other powertool switch on the many tools I have so maybe they changed the switch at some point after reviews or maybe a few people just legit got a faulty switch. I think back on the many projects over the years that this tool would have made so so easy.

Excellent & versatile and will do many more tasks than you expect.
I found this tool to be very easy to use and with the multiple attachments it can do more jobs than I originally expected. The quick change tool feature should be considered as a must have and I would suggest that you think twice before buying a multi-tool that requires a tool to change attachments. The tool came with a large number of different attachments that I probably would not have bought but having and trying these different attachments enabled me to appreciate how many types of jobs this multi-tool can do. What started as “I wonder if I can use this attachment to ???” usually ended in wow, this works much better than a dedicated power tool for this type of job.The included carrying case is a big plus. This tool is a real keeper.

    So far so great!
I had to do some under sink repair, removing old melamine board that was glued to the back wall. Using a regular grinder caused smoke which is toxic and would take forever. After a bit of research, I bought the galaxa pro. This tool made short work of the cut. I was very happy.I then used it to grind grout away from the back of travertine tiles. It was surprisingly effective, especially after making the grout moist. Finally, I had to put a very neat whole in drywall. This worked very well and was very precise. The continuous speed control seemed to work well.I would say the only minor problem are the ergonomics of the tool. The right angle of the tool does not allow the wrist to have a natural bend when using it. So, I think if you used it a lot or if you are older, then you are going to eventually have some joint pain. But again, that is if you are using for hours a day every day.

    Tool works well
I had been thinking about getting one of these for several months after seeing a video about them. I had a project 18 months ago that this really, really would have been perfect for. Based on the product description and reviews this seemed like an acceptable brand & model. So far I’ve only used it a couple times – the machine itself and the 1 blade I used on a fence picket worked fine. I bought a 3rd party set of blades for cutting through steel at it worked ok.

    Waste of money.
Purchased this for my husband last year for him to get for a surprise and he just had a project to actually use it for and the very first time he used it the thing stopped working. Plug it into other outlets and it won’t even turn on after maybe 2 minutes of trying to use it for the first time. I do not recommend buying this at all. If I could return it I would. Huge waste of money so now I will be going to home depot to buy him a new one so he can use it for what he wanted one for when we got to finally start our projects.

    Simply insane value & power
Needed a tool for renovation project. Instead of dropping 3x on battery powered brand, went for this one. Tons of power, comfortable to use, included blades cut very well. Cant imagine a better tool, for any $, super happy with the purchase

Used it a few times and I love it. Only complaint is I’m new to this tool and wish the manual had more then safety stuff. But that’s what Google is for I suppose.
